On arrival at Entebbe International airport, meet and greet with an APS representative before transferring to Kampala. Dinner and overnight stay either at Cassia Lodge or Fairway Hotel.

Day 2:  Kampala – Bwindi Forest National Park

Your driver/ guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala from where you will set off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This safari will take a minimum of nine (9) hours drive.  With a brief stop at the Equator line for a photo shoot, proceed to Bwindi which drive takes you through the grasslands of Ankole, whose common sight will give you an opportunity to see its Undulating hills and the famous Ankole long-horned cattle. Break off for lunch enroute.

Continue southwards through the beautiful country side past large tea and Banana plantations. Bwindi Forest National Park is home of the rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, there are a wide variety of primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it.

Arrive at the park in the evening and check in at either Buhoma Lodge (up market) or Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget) for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast report at the starting point of gorilla tracking.

You will then receive a briefing from your ranger guides prior to heading into the forest to track these gentle giants. Upon location of the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour with them. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous track. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe, watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display.

Later return to your lodge exhilarated to relive the encounter with friends over a drink. Retire at either Buhoma Lodge (up market) or Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget) for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Bwindi Forest - Kampala

After breakfast, embark on your return journey to Kampala with a lunch break enroute. Stop over at any crafts display centre for souvenirs before proceeding to Kampala. Check in at either Cassia Lodge or Speke Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Kampala – Mbale (Mt. Elgon National Park)

After an early breakfast, depart for Mt.Elgon National Park in Mbale. The drive takes you past the industrial city of Jinja to northeastern Uganda with lunch enroute. It contains the largest intact caldera, a collapsed crater covering over 40kms at the top of the mountain, surrounded by a series of rugged peaks. The two tribes around the mountain are the Bagisu and the Sabiny who have made agreements with the park for sustainable harvest of traditional forest products.

Climb further to Mude Cave Camp which climb will cover about 2km.  Arrive at Mude cave Camp where you will pitch your own tent or book a bed in the Hut for an overnight stay. This is the point where clients acclimatize to hike up to Wagagai Peak. Have the afternoon at leisure or ask your ranger to take you to nearby attractions. Dinner and overnight stay.
